Privacy

Short version: this is a static website. It does not track you.

What this site does not do

  • No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
  • No cookies are set by this site.
  • No accounts, comments, forms, or newsletter sign-ups.
  • No third-party fonts, CDNs, or embeds are required to read the site.

What is stored in your browser

If you choose a light or dark theme with the theme button, that choice is saved in your browser'slocalStorage under the key bitblam-theme. It never leaves your device. Clearing site data removes it.

Site search runs entirely in your browser: it downloads pieces of a pre-built search index from this site. Your search terms are placed in the page address (for example /search/?q=webgpu) so results can be bookmarked or shared, which means they may appear in your own browser history. They are not sent anywhere else.

Server logs

Like virtually every web host, the hosting provider may keep standard web server access logs (such as IP address, requested page, time, and browser user-agent) for security and operations. This site does not add anything to those logs.

External links

Links to other websites are ordinary links; those sites have their own privacy practices.

Interactive demos

Some articles may include interactive demos (for example WebGPU or canvas experiments). They run locally in your browser and do not collect data. If a specific article embeds anything from another site, it will say so.
